My Great Dane, Ana, died on Sunday, Sept. 21. She was almost 9 1/2 years old. I thought she would make it to 10. She died while I was away for a few hours. I created a slide show of her photos over the years. Here’s a video as well.

I had kept this under wraps for awhile. I have a new puppy–an English Border Terrier. His name is Jasper. He’s nine weeks old here.

I hope. I had never heard of this conference before watching a documentary. Check out TED. It stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. The slogan is “ideas worth spreading”. There are some really great ideas being created and implemented by people. I personally know people who have created organizations to make a difference in some area. I have never been able to pick just one. Also, I am more talented at creating the leaders who will begin these projects than actually running a project, no matter how large.

I woke up this morning to read the news and saw that George Carlin died on Sunday. I don’t know any other comedian who gave such a biting social commentary.

No time to blog early. I have a meeting. Until then…

What Color Is Your Aura?

It’s not my holiday, but to all those who do celebrate it…Have a Happy Easter with much chocolate.

I got to play tourist yesterday in a city that I have lived in for 7 years. I asked quite a few people what was cool to do around here, and I got a lot of different answers. I also got that there’s nothing to do here in San Jose. There is plenty to do here. This city is rather cool actually. I took pictures baaed on a walk I made, but none of the photos are very good.

As if watching for crazy drivers isn’t enough, some man attacked a woman on the highway in San Jose. This isn’t a common occurence thankfully, but still concerning. This may be the type of man who does this repeatedly. As a woman who often drives alone at night, I really don’t like hearing about these things.

Oh, and happy leap day. This is the day of one of those obsure traditions…women can ask men to marry them on this day. I have no idea where this comes from, but for those of you out there who are waiting for the man to ask, I say take matters into your own hands.

I feel busy, yet I’m not. I have a lot to do, and yet I don’t. It’s late morning as I write this. Because I have had other things to take care of, I am just now getting ready for my day.

I’m not sure why though. Thursday was amazing. Friday was good. I don’t particularly care for questions around the guy I’m dating. I’m not unhappy with him or dissatisfied. I just wish we had more time together. What we do have is never enough.
