Ostrich
02/25/2009
Anyone else tired of the news? I know I am. I have only been reading articles here and there. I stopped watching the news years ago, but I continued to read. Now I can hardly stomach reading the news. I’ve become the ostrich with it’s head buried in the sand. While being uninformed isn’t the best road, I’m certainly happier. It’s interesting how much the news affects one’s mood.

Hey, that’s the third post of yours that I like in a row.
I have stopped watching TV in general, and the news in particular, in 2005. I, also, stopped reading the newspaper or listening to the news on the radio. It feels like the same stories offered with different dates.
Plus, a recent study has revealed that fast TV news and social-networking updates can cripple our brain’s natural emotion processing, meaning that the constant following of rapid-fire news can “numb our sense of morality and make us indifferent to human sufferings.”
I wrote something about it that you can read here : http://bmblf.blogspot.com/2009/04/twitter-for-kwitter.html
Very cool page you got here, in all seriousness. Rock on!
