My wife and I have two, and we are mad about them. Borders are very active and need exercise. With winter coming on you will have to give him a workout at home. Sylvia (my wife) and I went to a dog show a few years ago and saw that one of the handlers was shining a red dot on the ground using a laser pointer ($15 at Fry's) to keep his charge occupied. So, I got one and our pup took right to it, and this has been a continuing source of amusement for all concerned. She just LOVES to chase that dot. We adopted a 9 year old male, and he has shown no interest in chasing the red dot. So, my advice is to show Jasper the red dot while he is still young.
