Something I Read

I don’t usually write anything here that could be considered political. I recently read this article in Rolling Stone. I’m concerned. I don’t hear people talking about it or even bothered.

My computer died Thursday afternoon, so I have been without access to my blog for several days. I didn’t have access to my blog email either. So now I’m back, but I lost four days of blogging when I planned to blog 365 days this year (actually 366).
My computer couldn’t be fixed, so I have a new one. Courtesy of the Apple warranty. Nice new iMac.
Wow! I really should pay more attention to what is going on. I was surprised to hear that the California Supreme Court overturned the ban on gay marriages. Check this out. I wonder what the rest of the country (media) will have to say about “crazy” California. It should be interesting to hear. Probably infuriating. Gotta love this state!
I don’t know yet what the high will be, but my dog has already been at the door asking to come inside (9 am). She must think that it’s cooler inside than outside. It’s highly unlikely that is the case.
When it gets hot, it’s hard to get to sleep at night. (Only a few houses have air conditioning out here–mine isn’t one of them.) I had a late night last night. I don’t know if I can deal with another night of little sleep and function the next day.

Yes. A post about the weather. It looks like we’re going to have a hot spell. I was surprised on Monday by the forecast of 95 degrees, but now it looks like the end of the week and weekend is going to bring 100+ degree weather. If it’s that hot in San Jose, it’s much hotter east and south of here. I’m not ready for weather like that…nor are my pets.
Well…well…
Your Passion is Yellow |
![]() You’re a total sexual shape shifter. You possess a complex sex drive and are very adaptable. Of all the colors, you are the most likely to be bisexual. While you the most passionate, you are very open minded. |
I’m not sure if it’s Monday I dislike or the fact that the writing I was doing is over. I like the writing projects/games even though I only spend about an hour on them a day. There’s a tremendous loss when the game has been won and the project is complete.
Now what? Well, editing. It’s not my favorite thing though. In fact, I will avoid it even if I have scheduled time for editing. Funny how that works.
I thought I was being smart by taking the train to SF. Turns out that several stations were closed Saturday afternoon. It took 30 minutes to get to the station, an hour by bus to get to an open station and then another hour on the train to get to SF. Once there, I was completely lost as to what direction to go, so I set off in the opposite direction.
It was a good day though. I took quite a lot of photos. My friend wasn’t able to get away during the afternoon, so I spent an hour at the art gallery and then went off on my own. We met up later that evening.
I had planned to be home by 5 pm, but I didn’t get home until 9.
A late night and Saturday afternoon plans means little time to post. Unsusually, I’m headed to San Francisco for the afternoon. Besides visiting a friend who invited me to see the art gallery he works at, I will be taking my camera. I have a few photo “assignments” to take. I signed up for a course to refresh what I knew and to have me get out there and take photos. I’m sure to find something interesting in San Francisco.
I got tired of the nearly platinum blonde hair, so I chose to have red highlights added. The sun had bleached out the lower half of my hair. The light strawberry color (matched to my own hair color) actually brings out my eyes more. All that light hair was washing out my already pale skin.
I think it’s time for pictures.
