As if watching for crazy drivers isn’t enough, some man attacked a woman on the highway in San Jose. This isn’t a common occurence thankfully, but still concerning. This may be the type of man who does this repeatedly. As a woman who often drives alone at night, I really don’t like hearing about these things.

Oh, and happy leap day. This is the day of one of those obsure traditions…women can ask men to marry them on this day. I have no idea where this comes from, but for those of you out there who are waiting for the man to ask, I say take matters into your own hands.

I hadn’t thought about how much I provoked people until a conversation I had last night. Even before I went through all these Landmark courses, I stood for people’s greatness and shined a light on it. Mind you, few people really appreciate it. They would rather kill you than see themselves differently. In my life this mostly comes up in close relationships and friendships. It hasn’t been something I have done with strangers. That’s new.

I’m wondering what is up with so many people mispronouncing my last name. They leave out letters. How is that possible? Since when is it okay to just leave out a a vowel here and there?

I awoke last night just before 3 am spooked and sweating. In my dream I was surrounded by many reddish-brown, diamond-back rattle snakes. I don’t remember hearing them rattle, but I do remember them trying to bite. I didn’t want to go back to sleep because I  might go back into that dream. I have spent part of this morning looking up what snake dreams mean. And, while I have gotten some information, I don’t have an interpretation for my dream.

After watching another person who is in the same leadership program lead several times but not to enough people to meet the criteria, I wonder if my leading just a few weeks ago was just plain luck. I had my share of disappointment and failed attempts. However because she had been unable to put together a group of people to lead to, I offered my guests at my house. As Sunday went by, more and more people were unable to make it. I had no one at the last minute either even though I asked. I know the crazy and chaotic circumstances that surrounded my lead. Yet, on one level I know that I caused it to happen. It could have gone another way, and it didn’t.

I spent the morning driving one of the Landmark Forum leaders to the San Francisco airport. I can hardly describe what that was like for the ride there. It’s not something that happens all the time. This woman was someone I knew from one of the courses I took nearly a year ago.

This song always makes me want to dance. It’s also the first song I think of right now when I want to jump around the house.

My mother took off today to go back home. We got back here last night after 11 pm and got up at 4:30 am to get to the airport for her early flight. It’s interesting that there were no delays for her going home. Usually there are. That’s my big news. Now I’m cleaning and getting back into my normal schedule after going back to bed at 5:30 to 9 am.
