Election Day Blues
11/07/2006
Well after yesterday’s post, I want to ask today if the politicians will let their real selves appear. What would happen if everyone did that?
So I went and voted. I hope that people are voting for some changes and that the voting systems work. HBO’s special “Hacking the Vote” was disenheartening. I knew most of it all ready, but seeing it rather than reading it was more effective.
It’s great day in spite of the fact that I got little sleep and I am having a very unproductive day. My cats have taken over my desk. I think it’s time for a nap.

I voted as well and I’m nervous about the outcome. I’m just glad I didn’t have any issues voting.

Was anyone surprised how smoothly the electronic voting went? I was actually pretty impressed with the system … and found it easier to use than the old methods.
Hopefully hacked votes and security won’t be an issue though!

Voting went surprisingly smoothly here too. No lines. We had a very long ballot with all the people running and ballot initiatives. Our machines even printed out the votes before you completed the voting. That’s the first time I’ve seen that. I didn’t see any errors in my votes.

Hopefully you’re feeling much better today and the results of yesterday’s elections lift your spirits even more.
